About This Service
IoT software development covers every layer between the device and the person using it. We build all of them, as a full platform or as the piece your product is missing: device integration over Bluetooth Low Energy or telematics, a real-time data back end, native mobile apps, web dashboards and the admin tools that manage devices and subscriptions.
We build software, not hardware. We work with the devices you have chosen or help you evaluate off-the-shelf units such as OBD-II telematics devices, BLE wearables, sensors and gateways, and we integrate with their data formats and APIs. At the end you own the code, the deployment, the app store accounts and the data.
Fly IT Solution offers IoT software development on both fixed-price and hourly engagement models. Projects kick off within 48 hours of agreement, and our teams in India and the USA provide timezone coverage for clients worldwide.

Does Any of This Sound Familiar?
If you have a device, or a spec sheet for one, and need the software around it, this list is probably you.
Each of these is a software problem, and the device integration, back end, apps and admin are what we build. A free consultation is enough to map the device, the data and the apps.
Device integration first, then the screens
On every IoT project the choice is whether to build the app first and connect the device later, or to get real data from a real device into the back end before any screen exists. We take the second path: the back end receives live device data first, so every later feature is tested on live data rather than on a mock.
It changes what comes after. Alerts, driving scores and reports are added once live data has accumulated, so thresholds and scores reflect real driving or real sensor behavior instead of guesses. Native or cross-platform is decided per project rather than by default, and the admin portal, with device activation, suspension and billing, is designed before code rather than bolted on.
Most IoT products should start as an MVP: one device type, live data, one app and an admin portal, in production before the feature list grows. Products that will be sold to many customers are scoped as SaaS from the start, with tenancy and subscriptions built in.
OBD-II vehicle tracking platform: apps, back end and admin
A vehicle tracking product built around an OBD-II device plugged into each vehicle, delivered as native mobile apps, a Node.js back end and a web interface for the operator.
The Challenge
Each vehicle carries an OBD-II device that reports vehicle data continuously. Drivers and owners needed to see live position, trips and driving behavior on their phones, with alerts when a vehicle exceeded a set speed, and the operator needed to enable or disable any device's services and manage subscriptions without touching the back end.
Our Approach
We connected the back end to real device data first, then built the apps and the web interface on top of it. Node.js services receive and process the device data, serve the apps and the web interface, and manage subscriptions. Native iOS and Android apps give drivers and owners tracking, alerts, scores, history, maps and reports; the operator's web interface controls device services and subscriptions.
What We Built
Built in weekly sprints with progress reports and installable test builds, device integration before any screen, and scores and reports added once live driving data had accumulated. Code, deployment and app store accounts are in the client's name.
BLE companion app for an FDA-cleared wearable, for a UK government-backed program
A healthcare MVP in which a mobile app connects over Bluetooth Low Energy to a compact wearable, FDA-cleared by its maker, that uses patented micro-pulse technology designed for period pain.
The Challenge
The wearable has no screen of its own, so the app had to pair with it over Bluetooth Low Energy and control it directly. The program needed more than a remote control: daily features that keep people using the app, subscription plans, and data handling designed to the requirements of a UK government-backed program, with the device maker holding the regulatory clearance.
Our Approach
We built the companion app around the BLE connection first, so users start, stop and adjust the device from the phone. Around that we added menstrual cycle tracking with a custom calendar, AI-generated nutrition suggestions informed by cycle and usage data, and in-app subscriptions, scoped and delivered as an MVP with the software designed to the program's requirements.
What We Built
Delivered as an MVP in weekly sprints with installable test builds. Together with the OBD-II platform it covers the pattern behind most connected products: a device, a link to it (telematics or BLE), a back end, an app people use daily, and an admin that manages devices and subscriptions.

Industries and products we build IoT software for
Fleet and vehicle tracking (OBD-II or GPS device integration, driver apps, speed and geofence alerts, scores, trip reports, operator admin) and healthcare and wearables (BLE companion apps with tracking, calendars, AI suggestions and subscriptions) are delivered. Telematics companies get the app, back end and subscription layer around a device they already sell; logistics teams get vehicle and shipment data feeding operations dashboards and delay alerts; field service gets sensor data from machines, technician apps and maintenance alerts; startups get a first connected product as an MVP.
IoT software development services: frequently asked questions
Scope, delivered projects, hardware, medical devices, cost, timelines and stack.
What are IoT software development services?
IoT software development services cover every software layer of a connected product except the hardware itself: the firmware-facing integration that receives device data, the cloud back end that stores and processes it, the mobile apps and web dashboards people use, and the admin tools that manage devices, services and subscriptions. Fly IT Solution delivers all these layers, as a full build or as an extension of an existing platform.
What IoT projects has Fly IT Solution delivered?
Two. A vehicle tracking platform built around an OBD-II device in each vehicle: native mobile apps with real-time tracking, speed alerts, driving scores, trip history and maps and a driving report, a Node.js back end, and a web interface where the operator enables or disables each device's services and manages subscriptions. And a healthcare MVP for a UK government-backed program: a mobile app connected over Bluetooth Low Energy to a compact wearable, FDA-cleared by its maker, that uses micro-pulse technology for period pain, so users control the device from the app, with AI nutrition suggestions, menstrual cycle tracking, a custom calendar and subscriptions.
Do you build the hardware as well as the software?
No. We build the software: device integration, back end, apps and dashboards. We work with the hardware you have chosen or help you evaluate off-the-shelf devices such as OBD-II telematics units, sensors and gateways, and we integrate with their data formats and APIs.
Do you build apps for medical and wearable devices?
Yes. We built the companion app for an FDA-cleared wearable used for period pain, connecting to the device over Bluetooth Low Energy so the user controls it from the phone, and adding cycle tracking, a custom calendar, AI nutrition suggestions and subscriptions, delivered as an MVP for a UK government-backed program. The device maker holds the regulatory clearance; we build the software around it and design the data handling to the requirements of the program and the market.
How much does IoT software development cost?
It depends on the device integration, the number of apps and the real-time requirements, so we quote in writing within 24 hours of a free consultation rather than publishing a flat rate. Fixed-price and hourly billing are both available, projects start within 48 hours of agreement, and you own the code. Most IoT products start as an MVP covering one device type, live data, one app and an admin portal.
How long does it take to build an IoT application?
A first release with device integration, a Node.js back end, one native app and a web admin typically takes a few months, delivered in weekly sprints with progress reports. Scoring, reporting and additional device types follow once live data is flowing. Our MVP engagements usually run four to six weeks for the first working version.
Which technologies do you use for IoT software?
Node.js for real-time back ends, native iOS and Android or React Native for mobile apps with Bluetooth Low Energy device connectivity, React for web dashboards, PostgreSQL or MongoDB for data, Python and AI APIs for scores, suggestions and analytics, and AWS for hosting. The OBD-II platform used native apps and a Node.js back end; the wearable app used BLE and in-app AI.
Can you add IoT features to an existing app or platform?
Yes. The device integration and data pipeline can be built as a service that feeds your existing app, CRM, ERP or dashboard through an API, so you add live device data without rebuilding what already works. We scope the integration points in the discovery call.
